My 1 year old, still wakes up so early (around 4-5) wanting to nurse and a lot of times he has a poo.  What should I do? Any suggestions?

My 15 month old still wakes up around 5 every morning to nurse.  I co-sleep with her so we just lay together while she nurses and she falls back to sleep.  She doesn't always fall back to sleep but I tell her it is not time to get up yet and don't turn the lights on.  She will play for a little bit with her stuffed animals but usually falls back to sleep within 1/2 hour.  Not sure if this will help your situation but that is how I deal with it.

Hi Lisa, this must be so tiring for you! I'd keep it as dark as possible and if you don't sleep with baby, try as the previous commenter suggested and bring him/her into bed with you to nurse until they fall back asleep - atleast you'll be able to get some rest.  Try not to talk either and if you have to keep it at a whisper with a few soothing sounds instead - this should give baby the hint its still bed time. Good luck to you xo

I have almost 7 months old, we have had sleeping issues (wasn't able to fall asleep on his own), I had contacted a sleep consultant (I picked a 2 week package) and my son is now a great sleeper. Here is Alanna's website http://www.goodnightsleepsite.com she will definately help you if you let her. My son sleeps 12 to 13 hours every night without waking up or nursing plus 2-3 naps a day. Alanna is very good and she knows what she's doing, I have a happy and rested family now thanks to her help.
