Our counselling/psychotherapy services are ideal for any parent looking for someone to talk to!
Some common reasons parents connect with us:
Life With A Baby is happy to have a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), completing her practicum with our organization and offering counselling support to those Life with A Baby Members and their families in need.
This service is open to everyone who is a LWAB member.
Offering Individual Therapy
I am a perinatal counselor and a certified lactation consultant. I am dedicated to providing comprehensive maternal health services that encompass perinatal counseling and lactation consultation.
Early in my career, perinatal mental health came into my focus, and I quickly realized the alarming lack of support available to individuals struggling in this area. I made a deliberate choice to specialize in perinatal mental health. I have a certification from Canadian Perinatal mental Health Training in Perinatal Mental Health, Perinatal Grief and Loss, and Birth Trauma.
I offer support to clients addressing a wide range of concerns, which include:
Perinatal mood and anxiety changes
Infertility and trying to conceive
Mom stress and burnout
Perinatal nutrition education

Clients can book a free discovery call on my website www.wilderway.org . If they wish to become a client, they can then register to become a client. After they have registered to become a client, they can check my availability in the NousTalk portal which is where they will have registered. Clients can then email me with their preferred time slot out of my available sessions and I will book them in for that time, unless I am over the number of volunteer clients for the week in which case I will refer them to my earliest availability. A confirmation email will be sent to clients with the session link.
Holly Davis – Registered Psychotherapist - Qualifying
ABOUT ME: TRUSTWORTHY, INTUITIVE, EMPATHETIC, COMPASSIONATE,
GENUINE, DOWN TO EARTH, COLLABORATIVE. WHILE I AM A PEOPLE
PERSON, I ALSO REQUIRE QUIET TIME TO RECHARGE.
As a mom of two children, I remember what it was like to have a newborn baby and experience Post postpartum anxiety. I felt isolated and alone in my worry and thoughts. When I reached out to join a support group of new moms, I realized I was not alone.
Talking one-on-one with a counsellor or with peers in a group experiencing the same emotions/insecurities/fears is a game changer. My role is to help guide new moms through their journey of healing. I believe this happens with mutual respect and collaboration.
I am at the final stages of my masters in Psychology and Counselling, and I am happy to volunteer at LWAB as a counsellor as it is an organization that is so helpful to so many women and families.
I provide Individual counselling and assist in Peer support group meetings.
Hold On Pain Ends. HOPE is a group for women who are looking to connect with other moms. It can be helpful for those currently dealing with symptoms of postpartum depression/anxiety including low mood, irritability, crying, difficulty eating/sleeping, intrusive thoughts etc. This group will give you the opportunity to connect with other women and get support and education regarding postpartum mood, as well as strategies for coping, resources and referrals.
Life With A Baby offers HOPE groups for free to mothers, with therapists and peers, allowing mothers to thrive. The mothers have improved scores on depression scales, and report feeling better after completing the group. During the group sessions, our individual therapists are now available to meet individually with the mothers between sessions if they have things they need further help on.
Our next session is starting soon! Find it on the event calendar.
