Zoe Stratis |
Hi, I'm Zoe, I'm a therapist by day, and a mom 24/7. Parenting typically represents one of the most challenging (and of course, rewarding) experiences a person can have in their life. It's true that it takes a village to raise a child, and raising a child includes supporting parents. These days we don't always have the luxury of a village, so we have to create our own "village" of support. Talking to a therapist is a wonderful way to increase your circle of support. You don't have to wait until your mental health is badly suffering, either. Talking to a therapist because it feels hard right now is completely legitimate, prevention is noticing what you need and taking steps to keep yourself well. I would love to hear from you about this wild parenting journey. I see parents about many sorts of experiences including, anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, identity, body image, relationships, family estrangement, NICU or birth trauma, fertility challenges and pregnancy and infant loss. If this sounds like a good fit for you, I invite you to book a free discovery call at https://calendly.com/wilderway Please email me at info@wilderway.org to set up subsequent appointment times. Wishing you a good nights sleep and a hot cup of tea. |

Holly Davis – Registered Psychotherapist - Qualifying ABOUT ME: TRUSTWORTHY, INTUITIVE, EMPATHETIC, COMPASSIONATE, GENUINE, DOWN TO EARTH, COLLABORATIVE. WHILE I AM A PEOPLE PERSON, I ALSO REQUIRE QUIET TIME TO RECHARGE. As a mom of two children, I remember what it was like to have a newborn baby and experience Post postpartum anxiety. I felt isolated and alone in my worry and thoughts. When I reached out to join a support group of new moms, I realized I was not alone. Talking one-on-one with a counsellor or with peers in a group experiencing the same emotions/insecurities/fears is a game changer. My role is to help guide new moms through their journey of healing. I believe this happens with mutual respect and collaboration. I am at the final stages of my masters in Psychology and Counselling, and I am happy to volunteer at LWAB as a counsellor as it is an organization that is so helpful to so many women and families. I provide Individual counselling and assist in Peer support group meetings. Mindzmatter11@gmail.com |
HOPE Groups
Hold On Pain Ends. HOPE is a group for women who are looking to connect with other moms. It can be helpful for those currently dealing with symptoms of postpartum depression/anxiety including low mood, irritability, crying, difficulty eating/sleeping, intrusive thoughts etc. This group will give you the opportunity to connect with other women and get support and education regarding postpartum mood, as well as strategies for coping, resources and referrals.
Life With A Baby offers HOPE groups for free to mothers, with therapists and peers, allowing mothers to thrive. The mothers have improved scores on depression scales, and report feeling better after completing the group. During the group sessions, the individual therapists are now available to meet individually with the mothers between sessions if they have things they need further help on.
The next session is starting soon! Find it on the event calendar.
