    Hi everyone,

Just wanted to get opinions from fellow moms.  I'm thinking of sending my toddler (now 17 months) to a co-op preschool when he turns 2.5.  That is about a year from now.  That will be around the time, I hope to expect a second baby.  And with a baby, I'm thinking I won't have time to take my toddler out as often as I do now.  Which is why I'd like to find activities  for him to do 2 days a week.

How demanding are the co-op preschools in involving parents?
Am I being too optimistic, thinking I can help out and take care of another baby?
How early do I need to start registering?
Any suggestions on a good co-op preschools in west Markham?
Are there other options I could look into?

Thank you in advance for your comments.

I checked out a couple of co-op  pre-schools for my son last Fall. I didn`t end up enrolling him in either because they were both half days only. But I had a good `feeling`about the Unionville co-op Nursery school on Main Street Unionville (http://unionville.pcpctoronto.org/). It`s in the basement but well lit, clean, with lots of toys, and the kids looked well cared for. I actually spoke to the mom who was on duty that day. She said that she was only required to volunteer for 1 morning every 6 or 7 weeks and her child (at the time just over 2 years old) was happy there.

So I would suggest that you visit all the pre-schools you are interested in now. They are accepting enrollment for Sept currently.
