I was surprised to call my local school-based daycare yesterday to find out that in Jan 2011 they would be offering spots for full-time daycare in Sep 2011. Yes, a full 8 months ahead of when I'd like the spot.
Apparently this is common in school-based daycares across the city so if you are planning to transition from stay at home or another daycare setting to a school-based care setting you might want to plan ahead.  I am not in a very popular area for kids like Bloor West Village or Riverdale - I am in North York near Downsview and my local school is Faywood.

Hope this is helpful to anyone else considering a similar move this coming fall.
