Recommended For Parents/ Caregiver of Children Birth to 5 Years

Brought to you in partnership with Life With A Baby and EarlyON Child and Family Centre Thornhill.

This is a facilitated, community-based parenting program for parents of children from birth to age five. Within a group setting, parents will participate in facilitated sessions that:

• promotes positive parenting

• increases parents' understanding of children's health, safety, and behaviour

• helps parents to build on existing skills and to learn new ones

• improves parents' self-esteem and coping skills

• increases self-help and mutual support

• puts parents in contact with community services and resources

Parents will have the opportunity to:

• MEET with other parents of young children (ages 0-6)

• SHARE ideas or questions and concerns about being a parent

• LEARN about child development, safety, health and behaviour

• TALK about real-life parenting experiences

• WORK together with the support of a trained facilitator

• DISCOVER ways of positive parenting
