Parents as Partners - From Zero to Reading, Writing and Conversation
PARENTING PROGRAM - FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN BIRTH TO 6 YEARS
Brought to you in partnership with Life With A Baby and EarlyON Child and Family Centre Thornhill and with Speech Language Pathologist Marlene Green and Life With A Baby.
Language learning depends on loving interaction paired with rich stimulation. It is the gateway to enormous joy, building the skills necessary for reading, writing and arithmetic through conversation and reasoning.
Reading and writing are more than letters and sounds. In From Zero to Reading, Writing and Conversation, we will discuss the component skills necessary to lay a solid foundation for literacy and numeracy. We will also discuss how to nurture a love of reading and will explore some favourite books and how to read them.
Please note the zoom link will be sent you with your confirmation email and again in your reminder email.
Note: To participate, you must have access to the internet and the most current version of Zoom.
