Open to those living in Ontario & Alberta

This group is for women who are currently dealing with symptoms of postpartum depression/anxiety including low mood, irritability, crying, difficulty eating/sleeping, intrusive thoughts etc. This group will give you the opportunity to connect with other women and get support and education regarding postpartum mood, as well as strategies for coping, resources and referrals. 

After registering, our intake coordinator will contact you for an intake before your registration can be confirmed.  

The group will be facilitated by :

Allison Flynn-Bowman completed her Masters degree in Applied Health Sciences, focusing on ways to support families as they transition to parenting. She is the volunteer community manager of Life with a Baby Niagara. She has training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety disorders, HOPE, and Mental Health First Aid. She has 2 children, and experienced postpartum anxiety. She uses her lived experience to support families and has used the methods that will be taught in this peer support group program to manage her own anxiety.     

Dana Weatherhead is a doula and mental health advocate trained in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Her background also includes facilitation of support circles and holistic healing modalities to assist others. She is the past-president of a birth association who advocates for birth options for families.

This Group is supported and coordinator will be done by Tamar Spilberg. Tamar is a mom of four over with 20 years experience in individual, child, family and couple therapy. As a strong believer in inner peace and acceptance, I work extensively every day to help people overcome suffrage from mental illnesses and other personal struggles.
