We know the kids are home more and often being left alone so parents can work or get groceries. We’ve developed the stay safe program to give your kids the skills they need to be at home alone and peace of mind for you while also meeting new friends, having fun, and enjoying a virtual camp.

The LWAB Mini Doctor First Aid workshop is for children aged 9-13 years of age.   Some of the topics that will be covered include:

• phoning 911 (when and how)
• helping a conscious choking person
• what to do when feeling unwell
• anaphylaxis (epi pen)
• asthma
• poisoning 
• Wound care
• Insect stings

Melissa Sticca is member of the Ontario College of Teachers with over 10 years experience as an elementary teacher.  She is also a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner and Instructor teaching a variety of first aid, CPR and safety courses for both youth and adults.
