Hiding inside Barrie’s Loyalist forest is the quiet Wilkin’s beach. This is a lovely spot to bring the littles and enjoy some summer beach fun.
We will take a short nature walk following a small section of the Wilkin’s Trail, that extends down to Lake Simcoe. While enjoying the beauty and calming effect of nature, we will travel down the path following along the creek side. Taking a brief moment to stop at a flat access point, we will insert paper boats into the creek for the littles to follow in view as we continue down the trail.
A little further on, we will come to a large bridge, and hope to see our boats float past. This is a great spot to let the little ones further explore the area as well as the wildlife. Just beyond that, reaching the end of the trail we will come to Wilkin’s Beach where the littles can play in the sand and have some beach fun!!
All ages. Family fun. Stroller friendly.
*paper boats will be supplied, using eco friendly paper. Please bring sand toys, beach wear and a light snack. (Allergen aware)
