Field Trip to forsythe family farms ~ Spring Awakening With Strawberry Planting Take Home & Fairy tale Trail Walk ~ Greenbank (Uxbridge Area) -- ALL AGES

Spring Awakening Enjoy spring on the farm, a time filled with the promise of renewal. We’ll introduce your students to ourfarm families. They’ll meet and feed our farm animals and their babies, learn about who they are and how we care for them. Students will plant a strawberry plant to take home. Through a variety of activities they will investigate a number of areas integral to farming – soil, plants, honey bees, equipment, seasons etc. to increase their knowledge and understanding of agriculture and how it relates to them. The strawberry season begins approximately late June. Weather and crop permitting your class will have the option of picking their own strawberries instead of planting.

Cost $9/PER PERSON ATTENDING

*babies under age 2 may enter free with paying adults

RECOMMENDED FOR ALL AGES! 

RAIN: 

We are less weather sensitive than in the past as we have indoor space for planting and eating if needed.  The farm animals are in the barn.  We go rain or shine, all we need is for the parents to dress as well for the weather as they their kids do.  We find most days there are sunny periods or if it is raining, periods of time when it isn't.  We work our tour activities around the weather.

Time: 10am - 1pm   (3 hour program)

FAIRY TALE TRAIL:

Our Fairy Tale Trail takes you along our fencer ow, the tree line extension of our forest, where imagination lives and stories enchant. Enjoy a unique, interactive outdoor opportunity to develop the children’s language and communication skills with the retelling of some favorite fairy tales.   <<<we will be seeing this by wagon ride
