I just wanted to share with everyone that I was able to wean my son off the swaddle.  It was a cold turkey method and he cried but he eventually fell asleep without it.  He did not need it for naps the next day either.  He doesn't even have the startle reflex anymore, which was the original reason that we started swaddling him.  Three days later, he rolled over.  Just in time.  Thank you everyone for your suggestions!

    Hi Janne, regarding dream feeding....

I find that it's difficult for my baby even after he had started solids to sleep through 10 hours a night without a feed. So after I put him to bed at 7:30pm, I would still go and feed him (while his eyes were closed) at 10:30pm just before I went to bed myself. It took a few nights and he got used to feeding at that time while sleeping (hence dream feeding). That way he actually slept a good 7 hours before waking up to feed again. That helped me to get a good 7 hour non-interrupted sleep too.

I found that he outgrew it on his own! My husband figured it out one night because my son had woken up after 3o minutes (as always!) and my husband noticed his fussing. At one point one his legs "broke out" of the swaddle blanket and according to my husband it looked as if he was trying to get the other one out too! My husband freed up the other leg and from that moment on we never swaddled him again!
