Did you know that 1 in 3 women will have bladder leaks at some point in their life?
That 50% of women do not do Kegels correctly?
And that 50% of women will have some degree of pelvic organ prolapse after having kids?
Despite these staggering statistics, leaking when you laugh or exercise, having pain with sex, or living with a “mommy pooch” is not normal and is not something you have to live with after having kids.
In this online talk with Melissa Wong, we will be breaking down the stigma and the shame regarding pelvic floor recovery after having kids. We will have an open conversation that covers:
What is the pelvic floor and why is it important after having kids?
What common issues can show up after having kids and what can be done about them
Why Kegels may not be the answer to your pelvic floor problems and why they could be making your problems worse
How to activate your pelvic floor and core the right way
Tips on returning to exercise and pain-free sex after having a baby
This talk is guaranteed to be fun and interactive. It will generate questions and discussion, so come with an open mind and some courage to learn and ask questions.
You will need zoom to participate. The zoom details will be sent to you in your confirmation email and again in the reminder email.
