I am looking to go with a girlfriend on a trip with our little ones. Both are a year and a half. I am looking for a baby friendly resort with daycare. I’m open to anywhere in the Caribbean. Cube, Dominican, Jamaica???? Anyone have a good one that they can recommend?

A friend of mine is at Club Med Punta Cana right now and from what she's posted on facebook so far sounds like it is great for little ones (she has a 1 year old) and lots of programs for them.  Here is what she wrote:

We arrived to find a crib, stroller, fridge and bottle warmer in our room. And the room has two sections with a sliding door so kids can sleep while the parents watch TV, drink on their balcony. The baby club med is amazing too

When arey ou going Mandy? We are going to Jamaica - iberostar rose hall in 2 weeks. I chose it because it is a smaller property, its pretty much quiet after 10pm (if you want to party go to the resort next door), their kids club, lots of shade on the beach, flight times are not too disruptive (ie not landing back home at 2am and bringing a toddler thru customs), and the bus travel time to and from the airport is short!!!

Its funny how we look at things so differently when travelling with a little one :)

We are going to an all iinclusive in Jamaica that a colleague at work said was awesome as well as a  friend who is a travel agent and sent many clients with kids there who were all very happy with it.  Here's the URL

We booked before I saw the suggestions. Hopefully it will be ok. We ended up booking at Barbados Almond Casuarina beach resort. Hopefully it’s good. It’s supposed to have a lot of child friendly areas, pools and daycare. I will let everyone know.

    Thanks everyone for the ideas.

We should start a thread so other parents know what is a good place to visit with a baby.

    Stay tuned.

    hello ladies

i feel i am an expert on researching family vacations as it has been the vain of my life the last month. Reading reviews after reviews just drives you nutty and 2 different sets of families can go to the same resort, the same time and have 2 completely different reviews.

Anyway, all the destnations that have been mentioned above, are great places to go.. not that i have been, just fron my research, but i found them all a tad pricey.

CUBA wasnt my first destination choice when travelling with the girls, but after reading the reviews on this place, and seeing how much cheaper it is - not to mention that my hairdresser just came back from there to with her family and loved it - i thought that i would pass it on.

We booked with Nolitours, upgraded to a sea view room and it cost us $800 (including taxes) and the girls are free - you have to love that.

    happy vacations all

    Jenn
