Who wants another baby already?

My son is 6.5 months old. Am I the only one crazy enough to want another baby now? I know I have to wait until, at least, March so I can maximize on my maternity leave now, and get the bare minimum 600 hours for EI again.

How am I going to convince my DH? I do most of the work with our little one now anyway. I am playing the "we're not getting any younger" card LOL.

Who else is thinking about more babies?

Our little one is 9 months and we are thinking of having another one soon. We are thinking about trying in April, when Christian turns 1. This way I have 9 months at work, enough time to replenish the savings account b.c the max EI payments are a joke.

When talking to a lot of women at work, some with 2 and some with 3 kids, they all said it was a good idea to have the kids close together. This way they will play with each other, you will finish with diapers all at once, and when you have to take them to soccer/hockey/swimming/whatever they are all around the same age and you can do it at one shot.

    Hi Ladies,

I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 7 month old and my husband and I want 2 more still.  I agree that the closer they are together the easier it is in the sense that you're already "in the thick of it" (diapers, tired, insanely busy...etc).  I say more babies all the way!

Our daughter is nine months old and we are going to start soon. I am 35 and have some medical issues which made my baby a preemie so I was advised to wait one year and then have a baby if I wanted a second one. I also have to have a scheduled C-section and the not getting any younger card is true. For lots of things, including tiredness, bouncing back from surgery, health risks to you and baby, and genetic disorders in our babies. I for one am all for getting it over and done. You two are right, we are in the thick of it and have everything so why not?

My son is ten months old and I've been having baby fever!! But I don't think my husband and I will start trying until sometime in 2011. I would love to have my kids close in age but we'll have to see if things work out that way for us. Financially..boo.

Mine was the same story! I wanted to have my kids close in age, so when my daughter was about 15-16 months, I thought this is just the right time to have another kid and I got pregnant - low behold, what do I find out at my first ultrasound - I am going to have twins. Gees! it was a shock in every sense - financially, time-wise, family dynamics.

It's hard to have a toddler and twins but I am managing very well with the help of my dear mother. None the less it's a LOT OF WORK!

What motivates you to have more than 1 child?

I have baby fever. BIG TIME.

My daughter is 2 years old now and I've been trying to convince my husband it's a good time to start. He still hasn't gotten over the colic stage (lasted 3 months) and says he's still in recovery. LOL!

We will start trying for #2 in about a month or so. I'm trying to a bit healthier (exercising regularly, eating healthy etc) to avoid problems that I had with the pregnancy with my daughter - high blood pressure, carpal tunnel, preeclampsia. Fun times!

Nina, I think my desire for baby #2 comes from me coming from a family of 3 (would love to have 3 children!). And also because DD asked for a baby. HA HA!
