Fathers Day "Make And Take" Craft Gift ~ Newmarket Fairy Lake
Come celebrate the wonderful "men" of your life by making them an extra special gift for Fathers Day.
We will be doing foot prints/hand prints of the kids on paper and then creating little frames for them to give "dad". These frames will be decorated and can easily also be used as a Christmas Decoration / Ornament Keepsake for Dad.
A $2.00 CONTRIBUTION (per frame created) TOWARDS THE ART SUPPLIES and our local York North Chapter's future event programming WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED (but is not mandatory)! To be collected at the event.
DUE TO THE MATERIALS THAT WILL NEED TO BE PURCHASED FOR THIS EVENT, PLEASE ONLY RSVP IF YOU ARE SURE YOU CAN MAKE IT AND / OR PLEASE CANCEL AT LEAST 1 WEEK IN ADVANCE IF YOUR PLANS HAVE CHANGED.
Parent supervision and assistance will be required to to the activity, set up and clean up please.
Please be prepared to get a little "dirty" with the (washable) craft supplies. Socks and shoes may have to be removed. There are washroom facilities close by for clean up and wash basins / wipes will be provided. Don't wear your best clothes :)
If you would like to add this poem to your craft (perhaps do your print on top of it, please come with a copy pre-printed to suite your frame / gift). Limited pre-printed 8x10 copies will be made available
"Walk a little slower daddy,"
said a child so small.
"I'm following in your footsteps
and I don't want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.
Someday when I'm all grown up,
You're what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who'll want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true;
So, walk a little slower, Daddy,
For I must follow you."
